Our Story

Our story began in a place that now only exists in the hearts and memories of long-time San Franciscans.

It was the early 1980’s and Candlestick Park was home to San Francisco Giants baseball and 49ers football. Michael Spranger was there every game hawking souvenirs: caps, pennants, and apparel all embellished with the teams’ logos. Little did Michael know that selling goods embellished with logos would become not only his profession, but his passion.

He first learned about the promotional products industry from his scoutmaster, a 50-year veteran in the business, who intrigued Michael by asking, “Hey, Mike, instead of selling onesies and twosies at Giants’ games, how about you try selling 500 pennants or 800 baseball caps at a time.”

After taking this concept to heart and several years of learning the industry, Michael saw potential for a career path as an entrepreneur. Fast forward to the early 1990’s, and Promotional Edge was born. Operating out of the extra bedroom of his house, faxing orders to suppliers, cutting and pasting artwork, Michael worked hard to build his brand into the successful business it is today.

After expanding with offices in San Ramon and employees to run the day-to-day operations, Michael now focuses on what he loves best: providing individual service for each client, compelling promotional products and memorable marketing.

After almost three decades in business, Promotional Edge has earned the tagline: We Logo Everything! Since 1992.
